Yesterday, I spent some time going over Janet & Jason’s wedding day detail. I am so happy that their big day is coming. Here are some more photos from their engagement session.

I would say, don’t settle girls. Follow your instinct and follow your vision when you plan your wedding.
Janet & Jason lives in Chicago. They will have a Napa wedding this year. However, Janet really would like us to capture photos of her and Jason at their current home. So, together, we worked out a plan that fits her budget. The end results, Hy and I had a fun weekend away from home. Janet and Jason had a fun afternoon w/ this sweet life stage captured during the beautiful Fall season at Chicago.

Alison and Dave live in New York City. They will be getting married in Napa upcoming Fall. They stopped by bay area to plan their wedding couple weekends ago. Hy and I were able to meet up with them the morning before they fly back ton NYC.

I love the close ups
We met up in front of the SF Ferry Building at 9am. I used to work in the city, but it’s been a while. I missed the morning feeling of the city. Hy often shoot engagements at the city late afternoon. It’s a totally different feeling in the morning. I love how the color turned out.

Minling has been the editor in chief for HyStudio for 2 years now. And this year .. it’s finally her turn
Minling picked a very romantic and grand location for her engagement pictures: The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. We went there on a Sat. afternoon. While 3 of them are busy with photos, I enjoyed an afternoon of reading and zipping afternoon tea. The hotel is a beautiful location for a quick getaway.

BTW, after the engagement session, we went to Old Port Lobster Shack at Redwood City for dinner. Gotta check it out, it’s soo yummy!
